Packing your suitcase for Traveling and discovering the world is probably one of the best experience you will ever have, but let’s be realistic, packing your suitcase is just really annoying, and can take more time than you think.
Not only packing takes a lot of time, but sometimes we simply don’t know how to properly pack our suitcases. So, to help you out, here are five tips about how to pack your luggage and be successful at it.
How to pack your suitcase for you next trip
We know packing up isn’t the most fun activity in the world, but it’s necessary. Packing the essentials, make sure everything fits, and that the suitcase isn’t too heavy are the goals, and we are going to tell you how to do just that.
Make a list
Making a list of EVERYTHING you need to know is a must. Include absolutely everything you think you’ll need during your trip, from the essentials to less important things.
Once you’ve got your list ready, you can cross or check everything out once you have put it in the suitcase. It’s the easiest way to make sure you won’t forget about a single thing.
Pack comfortable (and useful) clothing
Packing those ten pairs of sweaters “just in case” won’t do anything for you. If you haven’t wear a shirt, jean or sweater in months, why would you include it in your suitcase?
Pack clothes that you can mix and match multiple times with other clothing items! This way, you will have multiple outfits using less clothes and occupying less space.
Use the space wisely
Put bigger clothing items on the bottom, and light, smaller ones on the top. Roll the socks and put them inside the shoes you are planning on taking with you during the trip.
Making the most out of the space in your suitcase is extremely important. Some people find rolling up everything and stocking clothes like that is easier, if you feel that’s your style, give it a go!
Pack personal hygiene items separately
Accidents can happen during your flight, so make sure you’ve got that covered by packing things like shampoo, moisturizer, shaving cream and such separately from your own clothes. That way, if anything happens, it won’t affect the rest of your things.
Take out unnecessary things
Before you zip up your suitcase, do a mental check (or use your list!) and take out everything you deep down know it isn’t necessary. Trust us, you’ll realize how many things you really don’t need, and your suitcase will be much lighter.
